A man who admitted assault has been placed under supervision for 12 months.
Joseph McLeod, 46, of Brown Street, admitted punching David McDonald in the face on Alexander Street on June 3.
He also admitted resisting PC David McDonald and PC Thomas Fitzpatrick by lashing out with his arms and legs, on the same date and location.
He further admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and threatening police with violence, also at the same date and location.
McLeod was also placed on a restriction of liberty order confining him to his home address between 7pm-5am daily for 180 days.
