Kevin Howard, 50, of Strathyre Walk, had sentence deferred until December 11.
Howard admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner at his home address last Tuesday.
He admitted acting aggressively, shouting and swearing at his partner Lindzi Ross, throwing an item of crockery, causing it to break, and uttering threats to Miss Ross and her ex-partner.
The court heard Howard threw a cup, causing it to smash, then appeared to make a phone call arranging violence against Miss Ross’s ex-partner.
His solicitor told the court Howard was not actually on the phone and pretended to make the call to “get a reaction” from her.
