A man charged with two rapes and giving a child an electric shock has had his case continued.
John Perkinton, 47, of Clepington Court, appeared at the High Court in Glasgow. He denies 16 charges.
They include using lewd and libidinous practices towards a child at an address in Dundee in the mid-1990s by making sexual comments and engaging in a sex act, and committing a further similar offence against the same youngster in a wooded area.
Perkinton is also alleged to have used lewd and libidinous practices towards another child by touching and trying to kiss the youngster at an address in the city in the late 1990s.
Charges also include touching a youngster – who was under the influence of alcohol or controlled drugs supplied by him – and trying to remove the child’s clothes at a flat in Dundee between the late 1990s and early 2000s.
He is also accused of assaulting a female about the same time at another address by raping her while she was under the influence of drink and drugs – to which he has lodged a special defence that the woman consented to sex – and raping the same woman on another occasion while she was asleep, to which he has also lodged a special defence of consensual sex.
Perkinton is also charged with indecent assault and supplying cannabis, amphetamine, temazepam, ecstasy and LSD.
Trial has been fixed for January 14.
