A woman who made false accusations of assault and robbery against two other people was placed on a restriction of liberty order.
Leah Garden, 31, of Adamson Court, told DC Paul Hardie at Police HQ she had witnessed William McLennan and Kirsty Gibb committing the offence on June 1 last year while knowing that she had not in fact witnessed an assault and robbery and caused officers to devote their time and services in the investigation and temporarily deprived the public of their services.
Sheriff John Rafferty placed her on a restriction of liberty order for 140 days, from 7pm-5am.
