A man has been remanded in custody after admitting a shoplifting charge.
Colin Ewen, 36, of St Boswells Terrace, admitted that on Monday last week, at Debenhams in the Overgate, he stole perfume and committed the offence while on bail.
A plea of not guilty to a charge of stealing perfume from the same store on the following day was accepted by the Crown. Sentence was deferred until September 27 for reports.
