A 31-year-old man will stand trial in October accused of seven charges including striking a man with a knife and assaulting two policemen.
Ryan Jendrycha, of Sandeman Street, is alleged to have assaulted Nawras Alwar on May 26 on Sandeman Street by striking him on the head with a knife, and attempting to strike him with a belt.
He is also accused of possessing an offensive weapon and, at his home address, of assaulting PC Jamie Thomson by attempting to bite his left arm and assaulting Sergeant Daryll Plantinga by punching him on the head, as well as resisting arrest.
Jendrycha denies the charges and trial at Dundee Sheriff Court was fixed for October 7.
