A teenager accused of assaulting police and resisting arrest by three constables after an alleged incident in the Polepark area of the city will face trial in October.
Luke McRae, 19, of Lawrence Street, appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court and denied that on Monday, on Forest Park Road, he resisted and obstructed three constables who were in the execution of their duty, struggled violently with them, lashed out with his arms, tensed his body and dropped to the ground, all in an attempt to prevent lawful apprehension.
He further denied that on the same date, on Forest Park Road, he assaulted Constable Jamie Hays and struck him on the head with his elbow, to his injury.
McRae’s trial was fixed for October 31.
Sheriff George Way also set down an intermediate diet to be held on October 9.
Sheriff Way granted McRae bail.
