A man has been convicted of raping two women and sexually assaulting a third.
Dean Martin, 35, was convicted of six charges dating back to between March 2005 and December 2010 by a jury at the High Court in Edinburgh.
The court heard that Martin preyed on his first victim on an occasion between March 2005 and March 2006.
Jurors were told that he raped the woman while she was asleep.
A second woman told the court that Martin targeted her on various occasions between 2007 and January 2009.
She said that he repeatedly raped her and subjected her to physical attacks. She said that if she didn’t agree to have sex with Martin, he would physically abuse her.
Martin was also found guilty of sexually assaulting a third woman at a location in Dundee between March 2009 and December 2010.
Former Big Issue seller Martin, of St Boswells Crescent, Dundee, had denied the charges, and his legal team had lodged special defences of consent.
It took jurors three hours to find him guilty of rape and sexual assault.
Judge Lord Boyd remanded Martin – who has previous convictions for violence and dishonesty – in custody until he is sentenced on September 19.
