A man accused of raping a child under 16 at a house in Dundee more than 20 years ago has appeared in court.
Michael Gray, 62, of Shelley Gardens, appeared in private before Sheriff Alastair Carmichael on a petition alleging he raped the child, who was then between the ages of 13-15, more than 20 years ago.
Prosecutors allege he committed the rape between April 23 1991 and April 22 1994, at a house in Dundee.
He is further alleged to have, between April 23 1990 and April 22 1994, at the same location, used lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards the same person, who was then between 12-15 years old.
Gray made no plea during his brief appearance before Sheriff Carmichael and was granted bail while the case was continued for further examination.
