A convicted sex offender has been fined by a sheriff for failing to comply with the terms of the sex offenders register.
Douglas Stewart, 59, of Ancrum Place, admitted that between November 4-6 last year, at police HQ on West Bell Street, he breached the order by failing to complete his annual notification to police with his latest information.
In 2014 he was jailed for three years for sexual offences against children. This sentence was reduced to 27 months on appeal.
When he appeared at the sheriff court he was fined £200 by Sheriff Alastair Carmichael.
