An Aberdeenshire man accused of assaulting his partner by knocking her to the ground in her home when she was expecting their baby will face trial later this month.
Former Dundee man Alexander Dick, 37, now living in Mosside Place in Portlethen, appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court.
He denies the assault, along with a second charge of causing a breach of the peace and causing fear and alarm by attending at the home of his partner uninvited.
Dick denies that he assaulted his partner Racquel Shepherd, struggled with her, pushed her on the body and caused her to fall to the ground at Somerville Place in Dundee on June 24, while on bail.
He also denies that at Forres Avenue on March 8 he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm and attended at the house there when he had previously been instructed not to do so by Ms Shepherd.
Prosecutors also allege he parked outside her house and persistently sounded his car horn and shouted and swore at her.
He also denies using a car without insurance and driving the car without a licence at the same place on the same date.
Sheriff John Rafferty fixed Dick’s trial for August 23 and allowed his bail order to continue.
