A man who admitted spitting in the face of a police officer has been jailed at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Jed Boyd, 26, of Happyhillock Walk, admitted the offence, which took place at Tayside Division headquarters on Bell Street on April 26.
He pleaded guilty to assaulting PC Graham McNaughton by spitting at him and striking him on the body.
Boyd also admitted that the previous day, at Servite House, Finlarig Terrace, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm, shouted, swore, screamed, behaved in an aggressive manner and damaged a television set.
Sheriff John Rafferty jailed Boyd for five months.
