A man has denied grooming young girls and having unlawful sex with them in Dundee.
Darren Edwards is indicted on 13 separate sexual charges involving nine underage girls.
It is alleged that he had unlawful sex with two of the children.
The 20-year-old appeared at the High Court in Glasgow when he denied all the charges against him.
Edwards, of Whitfield Gardens, is accused of sexual activity with, or sending sexual images to, girls aged between 12-15 at various locations in Dundee.
It is alleged that, between December 1 2016 and February 4 this year, at his home and another address in Whitfield or elsewhere unknown, he intentionally caused a girl under 16 to look at a sexual image and, on a number of occasions at the wooded area to the rear of Iceland supermarket, on Pitkerro Road, he had unlawful sexual intercourse with a teenage girl.
He is also accused of coercing an underage girl into looking at a sexual image and repeatedly sending messages of a sexual nature and indecent images, as well as intentionally meeting a teenager aged under 16 and intending to engage in unlawful sexual activity with her or in her presence.
Edwards is further accused of sending a sexual written message to a young girl and causing her to look at a sexual image, coercing another teenager into looking at a sexual image and encouraging her to send images of herself in her underwear, sending a sexual image to another girl via the mobile app Snapchat and sending a sexual written message to a girl aged under 16 and repeatedly asking her to send an image of herself in a state of undress.
He also denies coercing a young girl to look at a sexual image and requesting she send images of herself in a state of undress, as well as sending text messages about sex and sexual acts.
He is further charged with intentionally meeting another girl under 16 with intent to engage in unlawful sexual activity with her or in her presence.
Edwards is also accused of engaging in unlawful sexual activity with a girl under 16 at a wooded area in Caird Park and on a number of occasions sending text messages to two girls that were grossly offensive or of indecent, obscene or menacing character.
Edwards pleaded not guilty at a preliminary hearing and his case was continued for a further hearing later this month.
