A man has appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court accused of pouring bleach over his pregnant partner.
Prosecutors claim that Neil Barclay, 41, of Greenlee Drive, assaulted Joanne McKillop in a horror attack at the couple’s home in the Lochee area of the city.
Barclay is accused of pouring the corrosive liquid over Ms McKillop’s body, to her injury, on June 8 this year.
Barclay made no plea when he made his second private appearance before Sheriff John Rafferty.
His case was fully committed for trial.
Sheriff Rafferty refused bail and Barclay was remanded in custody. The case is set to be called for trial later this year.
