A jury has reached a verdict of not proven in the trial of a man accused of assaulting a former Dundee FC youth player.
Robert Chambers had been accused of seriously assaulting John Black in Hawkhill on October 8 2017 with just one punch.
The 24-year-old admitted punching Mr Black, but claimed he did so in self-defence.
The former Dark Blue was placed in an induced coma for 10 days and resulted in him having a section of his skull removed ending his footballing career.
