Man had screwdriver as offensive weapon in Dundee close

A man who was found in possession of a screwdriver in a tenement close had sentence deferred to assess his progress on a community payback order.

Forty-two-year-old Gary McNair, of Fairbairn Street, admitted being in possession of an offensive weapon on Saturday.

Sheriff Alastair Carmichael adjourned the case to November 28, the same date of a review of the order, before Sheriff Alastair Brown.
