Paul Simms, 35, of Scott Street, is to stand trial accused of taking or making indecent images of children.
Simms is alleged to have committed the offence at his home address between May 12 and July 12 last year.
He is also alleged to have installed an operating system on his laptop in an attempt to hide illegal content stored there to defeat the ends of justice on September 27 last year. Simms denies the charges and trial was fixed for September 17.
