A man is to stand trial accused of raping two women and having sex with an underage girl.
Matthew Ferguson, of Wellgrove Street, is indicted on five separate charges.
The 23-year-old is alleged to have committed the offences at various addresses between 2011 and 2014.
He is accused of sexually assaulting a teenage girl at an address in Galashiels in March 2011.
It is alleged that he molested her while she was asleep and incapable of giving or withholding consent.
Ferguson allegedly raped the same girl at the same address in Galashiels in September 2011.
He is also accused of having unlawful sex with an underage girl on various occasions between April 2012 and April 2013 at addresses in Dundee.
It is alleged Ferguson raped the same girl on various occasions between March 2013 and April 2015 at addresses in Dundee.
It is also alleged that on various occasions between January and December 2014, at properties in Dundee, he assaulted the same girl by shouting and swearing at her and throwing a knife and an Xbox games console at her.
He allegedly threw other household items at her before holding her down and squeezing her wrists and ankles.
Ferguson appeared for a criminal preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow.
Lawyers acting on his behalf tendered pleas of not guilty to all of the charges.
A special defence of consent was lodged in relation to the first two charges on the indictment.
Ferguson’s counsel, solicitor advocate Chris Fyffe, said: “It is the accused’s position that he was in a relationship with the complainer in charge one and two at the time.
“The special defence only relates to charge one and two.
“If the accused should choose to give evidence, it will be about what he can explain in relation to charge three.”
Judge Lord Burns fixed a trial date for September 28 at the High Court in Edinburgh.
Ferguson’s bail was continued.
