A woman has denied a string of charges, including possessing heroin, driving while unfit and struggling violently with police officers.
Lisa Hill, of Woodside Terrace, pleaded not guilty to five charges when she appeared from custody at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Hill, 31, denied that she was in charge of a vehicle while unfit to drive through drink or drugs on St Michaels Yard on Thursday; being in possession of heroin at her home address on the same date and resisting, obstructing or hindering police constables Michelle Ramsay and Derek McKay in the execution of their duty and struggled violently with them at her home address.
She further denied that she assaulted PC Joanne Greenlaw, kicked and punched her on the head and body, seized hold of her clothing and pulled it at police headquarters on West Bell Street on the same date; and that she failed, without reasonable excuse, to provide a specimen of blood as required under the Road Traffic Act 1988 at police HQ, on the same date.
It is alleged that the specimen of blood was required to ascertain Hill’s ability to drive, or the proportion of alcohol in her blood, at the time she was in charge of a vehicle on St Michaels Yard.
Hill’s trial was fixed by Sheriff Alastair Carmichael for October 10, with an intermediate diet to be held on September 18.
He granted her bail.
