A Dundee man is to stand trial over claims he raped three women over a 12-year period.
Dean William Martin, of St Boswell’s Terrace, also denies throwing a knife at one of the women before indecently assaulting a fourth woman.
The 35-year-old is indicted on nine charges. The offences allegedly took place at various addresses in Dundee between 2005 and 2017.
He denies raping a woman at a flat in North Erskine Street on an occasion between March 2005 and March 2006.
Martin is charged with attacking the woman while she was under the influence of alcohol or drugs, while asleep and incapable of giving or withholding consent.
On various occasions between December 2007 and April 2010, at four different addresses, Martin allegedly punched another woman on the head and body before kicking her body, pulling her hair, pushing her, striking her head with a wooden sweeping brush, spitting on her head and body, throwing a knife at her and locking her inside flats at Bright Street, Dalfield Court and Ancrum Court.
Martin also denies indecently assaulting the same woman on various occasions between February 2008 and April 2010 while she was asleep.
Between May 2008 and April 2010, on various occasions, he allegedly detained the woman against her will at three properties before raping her.
Martin also allegedly raped the woman at an address in Dalfield Court in January 2009.
Martin allegedly raped a third woman in February 2017 in Balunie Avenue while she was asleep. He denies shouting and swearing at the same woman in the same month before seizing a can of cider from her and striking her on the body with it.
Prior to this, Martin allegedly sexually assaulted the same woman in Brown Constable Street between March 2009 and December 2010 while she was under the influence of alcohol and asleep.
Martin is further accused of breaching a bail order in March this year by approaching and shouting at a woman in Dundee’s Murraygate when his bail conditions prevented him from approaching or contacting the woman.
Martin, who denied all the charges against him at the High Court in Glasgow, is due to stand trial at the High Court in Edinburgh on August 13.
