A man admitted causing a breach of the peace outside a Dundee pub and assaulting a police officer while in the execution of his duty.
Ian Thompson, 20, of Watson Street, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening or abusive manner which was likely to cause a reasonable person to suffer fear or alarm, shouting and swearing, uttering offensive remarks and behaving in an aggressive manner outside the Nether Inn in Nethergate on Saturday.
He also admitted that he assaulted PC Scott Davie, punched him on the head and struggled with him, all to his injury, at the same location on the same date.
Sheriff George Way deferred sentence until July 25 for reports and a restriction of liberty order assessment.
Thompson was granted bail.
