A Broughty Ferry man, locked up for having indecent images of children, has appeared at court in connection with public order offences.
Vincent Shannon, 48, of Lawrence Street, admitted that on January 10, at his home address and while on bail, he assaulted PC Paul Scott, then in the execution of his duty, and lunged forward and tried to headbutt him.
He further admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner by shouting, swearing and acting in an aggressive manner, on the same date and at the same location, while on bail.
Shannon appeared from custody, having been jailed in April for 11 months for taking or permitting to be taken or making 1,050 indecent photos of children between January 12 2016 and August 1 last year.
He was fined £300 for January’s offences.
