Dean Toshney, 48, of Brownhill Street, admitted that on March 20, on Lawton Terrace, he drove a car without holding a valid licence. He further admitted that on the same date and in the same location, he drove the vehicle while there was no insurance certificate in place. Toshney was fined £100 for driving without a licence – although this was discounted from £150 owing to his early plea. He was fined a further £300 for driving without insurance – which was also discounted from £450, again to take into account Toshney’s early plea. Six penalty points were also added to his driving record. This article originally appeared on the Evening Telegraph website. For more information, read about our new combined website.
