Sean Thomson, 28, a prisoner at Perth, was ordered to be returned to prison for 100 days as part of an unexpired portion of a previous sentence. He was also given an extra month in jail by Sheriff Alastair Brown. Thomson admitted possession of the Stanley-type lock knife at Panmure Street and Albert Square on April 1 this year. The court heard Thomson had five previous convictions, including two on indictment for possession of knives. Solicitor Paul Parker Smith told the court Thomson’s record was a short one but added: “It’s very relevant. “He is under no illusions that a custodial disposal will be imposed today.” This article originally appeared on the Evening Telegraph website.
