A drug dealer found with heroin worth almost £4,000 in his flat has been jailed.
Darren Wilkinson, 37, of Hilltown, admitted supplying the drug from his home on September 13 2017.
Fiscal depute Lynne Mannion told the court that police acting on a tip-off went there with a search warrant and found bags of heroin with a total street value of £3,950, along with various drugs paraphernalia.
Solicitor advocate Jim Laverty told the court: “He had a drug debt and was in a vulnerable position and was requested to perform this particular function.
“He accepts that he requires to face the consequences of that.”
Sheriff Brown jailed Wilkinson for 16 months.
