A 22-year-old man has been jailed for eight months by Sheriff Tom Hughes.
Ryan Wilson, 22, of Adamson Court, admitted that on May 25, at Asda, Myrekirk Road, he possessed a knife and behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm, shouted, swore and uttered threats of violence towards employees Andrew Williams and Stephen Deasley.
His plea of not guilty to a third charge of stealing DVDs from the store was accepted by the Crown.
