Gordon Marr, 43, of Adamson Court, Dundee, was placed on a community payback order for 90 hours.
Marr admitted that on April 17 at Artillery Lane, he behaved in a racially aggravated manner likely to cause alarm or distress to Rashid Ishmail, acted in an aggressive manner towards him, shouted and swore, uttered threats and repeatedly made racist remarks towards him.
He further admitted that on the same date in Artillery Lane, he resisted arrest by struggling violently with two police officers, lashed out with his arms and refused to move.
He also admitted he acted in a racially aggravated manner towards PC Isman Ali, acted in an aggressive manner, uttered threats, shouted and swore and repeatedly made racist remarks towards him on the same date and at the same location.
