A man has been put on a community payback order at Dundee Sheriff Court after he admitted assault and drug possession charges committed in the city.
Christopher Walker, 36, of Bridge Street, Montrose, admitted assaulting Sean Mullan by punching him repeatedly on the head and kicking him on the body to his injury.
He committed the offence on April 1 last year at South Ward Road.
He further admitted that on the same date and at the same location he possessed the Class A drug cocaine and the Class C drug diazepam.
Sheriff Lorna Drummond told Walker he had pleaded guilty to serious offences and imposed a community payback order under supervision for 18 months and ordered him to complete 200 hours of unpaid work.
