A man is facing court accused of hiding in a nightclub’s female toilets so he could film women “in a state of undress” by putting his mobile phone under the cubicle partitions.
Levon Anderson is alleged to have entered the female lavatories at Club Tropicana, South Ward Road, Dundee, and secreted himself in a cubicle there.
Prosecutors say that he held a mobile camera phone under the partition in the cubicles and recorded one woman – who cannot be named for legal reasons – “and other female persons whilst they were in said lavatory in a state of undress”.
Anderson, 21, of Harefield Road, Dundee, did not appear in person at Dundee Sheriff Court today to face the charge under the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act.
Solicitor advocate Jim Laverty, defending, asked the case be continued without plea for four weeks for the accused to give his lawyers full instructions.
Sheriff Linda Smith continued the case until June 1.
