A Dundee man has been accused of running off with a baby in a buggy and abandoning it in a street in Tayport.
Connor McGowan, 23, of North Wellington Street, faces trial at the city’s sheriff court in June.
He denies that on December 15 2017, at Ogilvie Street and Harbour Road in Tayport and on roads in between, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner towards a woman, repeatedly shouted and swore and uttered offensive remarks at her.
McGowan is also alleged to have grabbed a buggy containing a two-year-old child from the woman, run away with it and abandoned it in Harbour Road.
He also denies that he assaulted the woman and robbed her of a mobile telephone and a bank card at the same places on the same date.
Trial was fixed for June 21.
