A woman who battered her ex-partner with a baseball bat days after finding her in bed with a man has avoided jail.
Marnie Drumm had been in a relationship with Brogan Paterson since they were 15.
But the pair fell out when Drumm caught her lover in bed with a man.
Miss Paterson repeatedly contacted Drumm in a bid to patch things up.
They met in Lochee Park to walk their dogs three days later — only for the meeting to descend into an argument and violence.
Drumm, 22, of Thurso Crescent, pleaded guilty on indictment to attacking her former partner in the park on May 28 last year.
Fiscal depute Charmaine Gilmartin told Dundee Sheriff Court Ms Paterson had been friends with Drumm for years and they lived together until a few weeks before the incident.
Mrs Gilmartin said: “The complainer was taken to hospital and found to have a fractured left elbow and hairline fractures.
‘‘She underwent surgery to reset them with wires, plates and pins.”
Sheriff Alastair Brown imposed a community payback order with 200 hours of unpaid work and two years of supervision.
