A pervert was found with more than 7,300 indecent images of children on his computer.
Campbell McAulay, of Liff, near Dundee, admitted having the images on his home computer, having searched for sites under a range of names.
Depute fiscal Charmain Gilmartin told the city’s sheriff court that police officers acting on intelligence raided McAulay’s home on June 21 last year.
The officers were granted entry to his house, which he shares with his wife and daughter.
Ms Gilmartin said a search recovered a laptop, two tablets, a desktop computer, a hard drive and other computer equipment.
She said 135 images at category A were found, 202 at category B and 6,993 at category C — a total of 7,330 indecent images.
Upon investigating, a number of search terms were found including words relating to underage girls.
McAulay admitted that between November 12 2014 and June 21 2017, at a property in Liff, he took or permitted to be taken or made indecent photographs or psuedo-photographs of children.
Sheriff Lorna Drummond deferred sentence until May 24 for reports and a Tay Project Assessment and granted him bail.
He was placed on the sex offenders register.
