A woman has admitted attacking her husband before assaulting two police officers who were trying to calm her down.
Asha Charnock, 35, of Eskdale Avenue, had sentence deferred for reports and a restriction of liberty order assessment.
Fiscal depute Joanne Smith told Dundee Sheriff Court a witness heard the accused shouting outside her house at 1.20am.
She was shouting at her husband, who grabbed the accused by the hair and dragged her into their home.
The neighbour called police, who arrived to find the couple shouting at each other. Charnock’s husband put the accused in a headlock, the fiscal told the court.
“The accused refused to cooperate with the officers — she was shouting and screaming and pointing her finger,” the fiscal said.
“She was restrained and attempts were made to place her in handcuffs. However, she dug her nails into the hand of one of the officers.
“The skin was broken and scratched but the officer did not require treatment.”
Solicitor Lesley Beats said Charnock and her husband had been arguing and it escalated to the point where both were detained by police.
“Alcohol had been taken,” she added.
Sentence was deferred to May 17.
