A man who allegedly attempted to murder his wife appeared in private for the second time at Dundee Sheriff Court, where he was fully committed for trial.
Douglas Snedden, 59, of Clattowoods Drive, appeared on a petition alleging he repeatedly stabbed his wife, Wendy.
The incident is alleged to have taken place at the couple’s home on March 25.
Prosecutors claim Snedden repeatedly struck Mrs Snedden on the body with a knife and attempted to murder her.
Snedden, who had previously been remanded to Murray Royal Hospital in Perth following his arrest by police last month, made no plea or declaration and was remanded in custody by Sheriff George Way.
