Derek Muir, 39, a prisoner at Perth, denies that on December 19 last year, at Emmock Road, he drove dangerously at speed, mounted a grass verge to negotiate around a parked police vehicle, drove towards two constables, causing them to take evasive action, drove at speed without lights in darkness and narrowly avoided a collision with a marked police van.
He further denies that on December 26 last year, at police HQ, he possessed cocaine; at Coniston Terrace, he was concerned in the supply of heroin and amphetamine; and on the same date and place, he possessed cannabis resin.
Muir was also accused of driving while disqualified at Emmock Road on December 19, without insurance and attempting to pervert the course of justice. The case was continued until May 1.
