A two-time shoplifter has been remanded in custody pending reports.
William Young, 32, of Gullane Place, admitted three charges in total when he appeared at Dundee Sheriff Court.
He pleaded guilty to, on March 18, at Sainsbury’s, in Tom Johnston Road, stealing alcohol, while on bail. He further admitted stealing alcohol at Sainsbury’s on April 7, while on bail.
Young then returned to the store on April 14, and behaved in a threatening and abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm, repeatedly shouted and swore and uttered threats of violence.
Solicitor Gary McIlravey said Young had a long-standing addiction to drugs.
Sheriff Derek Reekie deferred sentence until May 9 and remanded him in custody.
