A man who stole a bag from McDonald’s in the city centre had sentence deferred by Sheriff Derek Reekie for a drug assessment report.
Andrew Whyte, 35, of Fairbairn Street, also admitted possession of a Class A drug.
Whyte admitted that on January 6, at McDonald’s in Reform Street, he stole a bag and its contents, which were a hat, a pair of gloves, an umbrella and a panic alarm.
He further admitted that on June 21 last year, at Arklay Street in Dundee, he possessed heroin.
Sheriff Reekie deferred sentence on Whyte until May 14 and granted him bail.
