Rhona Ferguson, 54, of Ancrum Court, had sentence deferred after admitting a breach of the peace with a knife.
Ferguson admitted that on April 7, at Logie Street, she behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm, shouted and swore at her ex-partner John Nicoll and repeatedly struck the door of a room he was in with a knife.
Fiscal depute Laura Bruce told the court Mr Nicoll had returned to the house after being out with a friend and Ferguson was heavily under the influence of alcohol.
Mr Nicoll saw she had a knife in the hallway and ran into his son’s bedroom and locked the door.
The fiscal said she was shouting and swearing at him and striking the door with a knife.
Sentence was deferred until May 3.
