A woman is facing jail after she admitted scamming more than £26,000 in benefits to which she was not entitled.
Sharon Stott claimed she was a single parent for more than three-and-a-half years.
However, she was actually living with her husband Jason Stott.
Following an investigation by the Department for Work and Pensions, she admitted fraudulently obtaining a total of £26,683.03.
Stott, 47, of Hoylake Gardens, pleaded guilty to committing the fraud between November 22 2013 and June 8 2017, at Lansdowne Square and Hoylake Gardens.
Her not guilty plea to fraudulently obtaining £9134.47 in tax credits between April 2012 and April 2013 at Lansdowne Square was accepted by the Crown.
Sheriff John Rafferty deferred sentence until May 3.
He called for social work background reports to be prepared in the interim.
Stott was ordered to appear in person.
