A former soldier who admitted committing a breach of the peace and assaulting a police officer at a veterans residence in Broughty Ferry has been placed on a curfew.
Dylan Nolan, 20, formerly of Rosendael Scottish Veterans Residences, Victoria Road, but now living in Glasgow, previously admitted that, on November 23, at the ex-service residences, he behaved in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm, acted aggressively, shouted and swore, removed fire extinguishers from a wall bracket and threw them on the floor, and uttered threats.
He also assaulted PC Kieran Bradley by headbutting him on the body.
Sentence had been deferred for reports but he failed to appear at court earlier this month and Sheriff Alastair Brown granted a warrant for his arrest.
Nolan, a former member of the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, had been put out of the residence as a result of the offence, the court heard.
He appeared in court on Monday and solicitor Gary McIlravey told the sheriff Nolan had gained employment in a call centre.
Sheriff Brown placed him on a restriction of liberty order for 18 weeks, from 9.30pm-9.30am.
