A man stormed into a council housing office with a bag full of knives — before threatening to kill staff and showing them pictures of haemorrhoids and the Illuminati.
Thomas Barczynski went into the Dundee East Housing Office in the city’s Pitkerro Road, where he proceeded to lose the plot with council staff working there.
He started threatening to kill staff before pulling out his mobile phone as staff called police.
Barczynski then showed workers images of the Illuminati — the name given to various secret groups alleged to conspire to control world affairs — and haemorrhoids to workers.
Police then arrived and took him in to custody, with Barczynski continuing to make threats at Dundee’s Bell Street Police HQ.
When his bag was searched officers found four “knives or bladed instruments”, as well as an ASP baton, a telescopic “tactical” baton manufactured in America.
Barczynski, 45, a prisoner at HMP Perth, pleaded guilty on indictment to a charge of behaving in a threatening and abusive manner and a second of possessing an offensive weapon.
Defence solicitor Ross Donnelly said he would give a full plea in mitigation of the offences at a later sentencing date.
Sheriff Alastair Brown deferred sentence until next month for social work background reports.
Barczynski was remanded in custody meantime.
Sheriff Brown also ordered that the weapons found in Barczynski’s bag be forfeited.
