Mark Cussick, 38, of Castlecary Gardens, was placed on a community payback order after admitting assaulting a man in a city centre pub.
At Dundee Sheriff Court, Cussick admitted assaulting Stephen Dodds by striking him with a pool cue, repeatedly punching him on the face and body and striking him on the head with a chair, to his injury, at Conroy’s pub in Meadowside on February 10.
He also admitted driving a vehicle while disqualified and without insurance in Seagate on February 11.
Sheriff Tom Hughes placed Cussick on a community payback order with 200 hours of unpaid work and a restriction of liberty order keeping him in his home between 7pm-7am for six months.
The sheriff also disqualified him from driving for two years.
