Glen Forsyth, 48, of Polepark Road, was found guilty of premeditated assault on a person in his own house. He had denied assaulting Brian Forsyth, 69, at Harefield Grove on November 26. Sheriff Alistair Brown found Forsyth guilty of lunging at his father and robbing him of £40. He will be supervised for two years with a drug treatment requirement.
