Charles Barr, 24, of Haddington Gardens, had his sentence further deferred by Sheriff Alastair Carmichael until March 9.
Barr had previously admitted that on June 25 2016, in Tullideph Road, he behaved in a disorderly manner, brandished a hammer and committed a breach of the peace.
Barr was due to be sentenced on Friday, but was not brought to court from prison by security guards due to the weather conditions.
