Ross Simpson, 22, of Lauderdale Avenue, was placed on a restriction of liberty order at Dundee Sheriff Court.
Simpson admitted that on September 16, at South Ward Road, Argyllgait, West Marketgait and Hawkhill, he drove dangerously at excessive speed, failed to comply with a road closed barrier and collided with it, failed to keep proper control of the vehicle, swerved round the road, entered the opposing carriageway, narrowly avoiding a collision with another vehicle, and collided with a wall.
He also admitted driving with no insurance and failing to cooperate with police attempting to administer a breath test.
Simpson was ordered to stay in his home between the hours of 9pm-8am and also disqualified from driving for 21 months and ordered to resit the driving test.
