Mark Cussick, 38, of Castlecary Gardens, had sentence deferred.
Cussick admitted assaulting Stephen Dodds by striking him with a pool cue, repeatedly punching him on the face and body and striking him on the head with a chair, to his injury, at Conroy’s Bar in Meadowside on Saturday.
He also admitted driving without insurance in Seagate on Sunday.
Another charge of driving while disqualified at the same location on the same date was continued without plea.
The case will call again on March 7.
