A pensioner has been accused of sexually abusing children over a period of 10 years.
Colin Robertson is alleged to have carried out a series of sex attacks on two children in Dundee and elsewhere between 1977 and 1987.
The 83-year-old appeared on indictment at the city’s sheriff court to face five charges.
Robertson, of the city’s Pentland area, is accused of sexually assaulting a young teenager at an address in Dundee and at a Boys’ Brigade camp on various occasions between 1977 and 1980.
The pensioner is also alleged to have used lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour towards the same youngster.
He is accused of committing the offences on various occasions between 1977 and 1978.
He is also alleged to have carried out further sex attacks on the same child between 1978 and 1980 at addresses in Dundee, Inverness and elsewhere.
Robertson faces a further charge of using lewd, indecent and libidinous practices and behaviour between 1982 and 1986 in Dundee, Meigle in Perthshire and elsewhere towards another child.
He is accused of providing the child with pornographic material and supplying the youngster with alcohol before sexually assaulting them.
Robertson is also accused of indecently assaulting the same child after providing them with pornographic material and alcohol at an address in Dundee.
Robertson appeared in private on petition before Sheriff Alastair Carmichael at Dundee Sheriff Court.
His solicitor, Lee Corr, made no plea on his behalf and asked for him to be allowed to remain free on bail, which was granted.
The octogenarian was committed for further examination.
Robertson is due to return to the dock at a later date.
