A man has appeared in court accused of raping a woman incapable of giving consent to sex.
David West, 69, of Archer Street in Dundee, appeared in private at Dundee Sheriff Court today, on a petition alleging he raped the woman over a 10-year period in Dundee and elsewhere.
Prosecutors claim the woman was “incapable by virtue of her mental disorder of consenting to sexual conduct”.
Sheriff Lorna Drummond continued the case for further examination.
West was granted bail with a further court date still to be set.
