A Dundee man was told “pull your socks up” by a sheriff after admitting posting a video of a police officer and uttering abusive remarks to him on social media.
Scott Ney, 25, of Moncur Crescent, admitted behaving in a threatening or abusive manner likely to cause fear or alarm by posting the video and making threats of violence towards PC David Fearn, at Haldane Terrace, on February 1 and 2 last year.
The offence was committed while Ney was out on bail.
Ney had been placed on a community payback order (CPO) but Sheriff Tom Hughes was told in a report that his attitude towards social workers had been mixed.
Sheriff Hughes told Ney: “I’m not happy with the way you’re carrying on with this order but social workers think you are suitable to complete it.
“You will have to pull your socks up and come back in three months time.”
Sheriff Hughes fixed a CPO review for April 25.
