Robbie MacGregor, 29, of St Mungo Terrace, had sentence deferred at Dundee Sheriff Court.
MacGregor admitted that between May 27 and June 5, at Macalpine Road, he took and drove away a car.
He also admitted that on June 5, on various roads — including Macalpine Road, Dundee; Dundee Road, Meigle; and other roads unknown — he drove without insurance.
He further admitted that on June 5, at Dundee Road, Meigle, he collided with a telegraph pole and a roadside sign, causing damage to them, and failed to stop and give details, while subject to an undertaking to appear at court.
Sentence was deferred until February 15 for reports.
